Abstract
This project addresses a crucial safety concern on gas leakage detection in various environments, such as residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Traditional gas detection systems often rely on manual monitoring, which is not only labor-intensive but also prone to human error. To mitigate these issues, the project introduces an advanced gas leakage detection system that integrates modern technologies like microcontrollers, Internet of Things (IoT) platforms, and fuzzy logic systems .At its core, the system uses a gas sensor connected to a microcontroller, allowing for real-time monitoring of gas concentrations. The microcontroller processes the sensor's data and, through the IoT platform, sends immediate alerts to users through various communication channels like mobile phones or emails, ensuring quick response times. This real-time monitoring is a significant improvement over manual systems, reducing the risk of accidents due to delayed responses. One of the key innovations in the project is the incorporation of fuzzy logic, which enhances the accuracy of the gas detection process. Traditional systems can often generate false alarms, but by applying fuzzy logic, the system can make more nuanced decisions about gas concentrations, leading to fewer false positives and more reliable detection. This ensures that the system can accurately differentiate between harmless fluctuations in gas levels and actual dangerous leaks. The system's performance is evaluated through experiments, and results demonstrate its high precision, reliability, and efficiency in detecting gas leaks. This combination of IoT integration and fuzzy logic not only improves the detection process but also promotes safer environments in industries where gas safety is paramount.
