Effect of Corporate Social Responsibility on Student Perception of Smart School Service in Ekiti State University

Abstract
The study aligned on the effect of corporate social responsibility on student perception of smartschool service in Ekiti State University. The specific objectives are to: Assess the effect of CSRawareness on student perception of smart school service quality in Ekiti State University,determine how the type of CSR initiatives undertaken influence students perceptions of smartschool service at Ekiti State University and evaluate the effect of smart school service onstudents learning motivation at Ekiti State University. The study adopted a descriptive surveydesign. The population for this study comprises all the undergraduate students who are enrolledat Ekiti State University Ado-Ekiti. Ekiti State University an embodiment of nine (9) significantfaculties with at least two (2) departments under each faculty. These faculties includeEngineering, Law, Management Science, Social Science, Sciences, Education, College ofMedicine, Arts and Agriculture. However, the university current population according toDirectorate of ICT, Ekiti State University (2023) is 26,718 students. The study adopt a TaroYamane's formula to select 394 student from all the faculties while the study uses surveyquestionnaire as a research instrument to collect primary data. From the analysis, it wasdiscovered CSR awareness has a positive and significance relationship with students’ perceptionof smart school service quality in Ekiti State University. Moreover, it was also discovered thatCSR initiatives undertaken has a positive and significant relationship with students’ perceptionof smart school services at Ekiti State University. Lastly, it was discovered that student learningmotivation has a positive relationship on students’ perception of smart school service in EkitiState University. From the findings of the study, it was concluded that the fact that CSR couldnot breed an increase in increase on student perception of smart school service in Ekiti StateUniversity. It was therefore recommended that the fact that CSR could not breed an increase inincrease on student perception of smart school service in Ekiti State University.
