Nigeria Roles in the Development of International Organisation in Africa: a Case Study O F Africa Union

Abstract
Nigeria as one of the Africa's prominent nations, has played a significant role ininternational development through its engagement with the African Union [AUJThis essay is an overview of Nigeria's contributions to international developmentwithin the framework of AU. The study explores Nigeria's participation in theAfrica Union, her policies and programs aimed at promoting sustainabledevelopment, regional integration, peace and security in Africa. Furthermore,Nigeria has made significant contributions to infrastructure development withinthe AU's frameworks. Infrastructure plays a pivotal role in facilitating economicgrowth and connectivity and Nigeria has been actively engaged in initiatives toenchance transportation networks energy infrastructure and telecommunicationssystem. In addition to economic development. Nigeria has been actively involvedin promoting peace and security within the AU. Moreover. Nigeria hasparticipated in AU program targeting human development, education. health andgender equality: Nigeria role in international development is exemplified hy itsengagement with AU is multifaceted and significant. Hence the importance of itscollahorative efforts between Nigeria, other Africa nations and internationalstakeholder to achieve sustainable development, goals and addressing thecompler socio-economic issues facing the Africa continent.
