Abstract
ABSTRACT The study investigated Bulinus snails in the Ase River, Delta State, identifying three species (B. globosus, B. truncatus, B. senegalensis) that transmit urinary schistosomiasis. Physicochemical parameters influenced snail abundance, with B. globosus being the most abundant (47.98%). The findings highlight the need for targeted interventions in high-risk areas to control schistosomiasis.
