Extraction and Characterization of Bitter-Leaf Using Methanol

Abstract
This study examines the methanol extraction of Vernonia amygdalina (bitter leaf), revealing bioactive compounds such as flavonoids, alkaloids, and phenols. UV-VIS and FTIR analyses confirmed key functional groups, supporting its traditional medicinal use and potential as a source of therapeutic phytochemicals.
