Abstract
AbstractThis project endeavors to introduce a renewable solar-power infrastructure within the Department of Computer Science, driven by the urgent need for enhanced energy efficiency and a strong commitment to environmental sustainability. The primary objective is to transition the department's energy consumption towards a greener and more eco-friendly model, substantially reducing its carbon footprint. To achieve this goal, the project relies on a multifaceted approach encompassing a comprehensive literature review, solar power installation and implementation, and a robust monitoring and maintenance strategy. In addition, the project aims to maximize energy generation potential while ensuring economic prudence. During the installation and implementation phase, we focus on selecting the most appropriate solar panel specifications, exploring effective power storage solutions, and seamlessly integrating the solar-power system with the existing power grid. Moreover, stringent considerations of safety and compliance with industry standards were observed to ensure smooth operations and adherence to regulations. In the pursuit of long-term sustainability and efficiency, the project emphasizes the significance of monitoring and maintenance to enhance the system performance.
