Abstract
This study analyzed how different CEO attributes affect firm performance (specifically, return on assets) among manufacturing firms listed in Nigeria between 2018 and 2024.The key findings showed that CEO ownership and CEO gender significantly impact firm performance, while CEO nationality does not. Based on this, the study recommends promoting senior executives and internal candidates, and considering the full influence of a CEO's ownership interest during decision-making.
