Abstract
ABSTRACTThis project deals with "The place of Social: studies in the development of Citizenship Education. A case study of some selected Secondary Schools in Gusau" the task of this research is to assess the students (Secondary School students in particular) the in developing citizenship place of Social Studies education in their local government Gusau) area. To effectively implement this task, five Secondary Schools were selected to serve as sample since going to all the Junior Secondary Schools in theaenwastheimpracticableandimpossibleventures both financially and time wise. questionnaire and documented evidences were used to gather adequate information need for this work. It is also conceived that findings from this search would be of benefits to student, parents, and teachers. Planners and above all the government. based on the findings, there was evident positive impact of Social Studies in developing citizenship education in Gusau, Zamfara state.
