Effect of Technological Innovation on Business Performance (a Case Study of Captain Cook Outlet in Offa, Kwara State)

Business constitute a larger part of the private sector. They contribute significantly to thenational income.The objectives of the study were; to examine the influence of diversity on businessperformance to identify the impact of creativity on business performance and to evaluate theeffect of technological change on business performance.The population of the study comprises of 145 staff of the captain cook retail outlets in kwarastate. The study made use of purposive sampling techniques and the method of the study wasonline structured survey questionnaire statistical package for sonal science (spss) was usedfor data analysis.The findings revealed that successful performance of the business has a response to theirinnovativeness and entrepreneurial skills. The study established that creativity and innovationhas a significant effects on business performance in term of profit level, productivity, andcustomer satisfaction. The study concluded that through process innovation there is is thedetermining and eliminating non-value adding activities in delivery related processes and alsoaids in decreasing variable cost components.The study recommends that management of the business should adopt new beneficialtechnological innovation. Also,the study recommends that business management shouldconsider developing new products with technical specifications and functionalities. The studyengages that methods of improving business strategy using innovation and creativity shouldbe widely established and considered.
