Effect of Beetroot Consumption on Nitric Oxide Concentration Among Athletes

Abstract
ABSRACT Athletes use nutritional supplementation to enhance the effects of training and achieve improvements in their athletic performance. Beetroot juice increases levels of nitric oxide (NO), which serves multiple functions related to increased blood flow, gas exchange, mitochondrial biogenesis and efficiency, and strengthening of muscle contraction. As a results of talking the beetroot juice by the 10 participants the order of treatment, indicating that the binding of the beetroot juice had been successful. No any major adverse reaction were reported by participant during the trials, The main finding was the supplementation for four days with 250ml beetroot juice increasing the nitric oxide (NO) level in the first test trail and improves the final test of the ten participant.
