Impact of Supply Chain Management (scm) Practices on the Organizational Performance of Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Abuja

This research work also aims at analysing the Effect of Supply Chain Management (SCM) Practices on the Performance of Coca-Cola Bottling Company Abuja. Hypothesis: To what extent has information sharing, outsourcing and transportation impacted change in market share, ROI and sales. The data used for this study was collected using a well-coordinate and documented close ended questionnaire. The target population for this study was given as one thousand and seventy-seven (1077) employees of Dangote Cement Company, the sample size for this study was two hundred and ninety-two (292) respondents. With regards to the sampling technique used for the study it was the, stratified random sampling technique. Questionnaire from the respondents in Dangote Cement Company was attained and data collected analyzed through Descriptive statistics, multiple regressions and ANOVA tests. It was concluded that a clear relationship between information sharing, outsourcing, and transportation and market share, return on investment and sales exists. The success factors on increasing the market share included timely exchange of information and frequent communication between the management and the customers, among others. Further, outsourcing was also found to possess a positive effect on the level of ROI and that transportation was important for sales. According to the study, it was suggested that based on the interaction between information sharing, outsourcing, and transportation, Dangote Cement Company should implement an integrated supply chain management strategy. By synchronizing all the three aspects, there will be some additional benefits that can be accrued by the company such as; Continuous monitoring and improvement of these practices should be given top priority to deal with the competition in the industry.
