Abstract
ABSTRACT Ceiling damage is a common issue in building, posing safety risks and compromising aesthetic appeal. This project investigates the causes of ceiling damage, assesses the current condition of ceilings in selected buildings, and developed a comprehensive repair strategy. A combination of visual inspections, material testing, and structural analysis were employed to identify the extent and severity of ceiling damage. The results showed that water infiltration, structural movement, and material degradation were primary causes of ceiling damage. Based on these findings, a repair methodology was developed, incorporating waterproofing, crack injection, and replacement of damaged ceiling components. The adopted repair strategy ensures structural integrity, improves safety, and enhances the overall appearance of the ceiling. This project contributes to the body of knowledge on ceiling repair and provides practical guidelines for civil engineers and building professionals.
