Abstract
ABSTRACT This study investigates the impact of management strategies on employee job performance of non-academic staff in College of Education, Warri, Delta State. The research identifies significant dissatisfaction and low motivation among staff, attributed to inadequate management practices, insufficient resources, and ineffective communication. Utilizing a descriptive survey design, data were collected from 150 administrative staff members through a self-structured questionnaire. Reliability and coefficient was established at 0.78 and the hypotheses were analyzed with the z- test at 0.05 level of significance. Hypothesis testing revealed that while respondents acknowledged the importance of financial incentives and effective planning, these factors did not significantly influence job performance. This suggests that other variables, such as organizational culture and job satisfaction, may play more critical roles. The findings underscore the necessity for the College to adopt a holistic approach to management, focusing on open communication, professional development, and recognition systems to enhance employee morale and performance. Future research is encouraged to explore additional factors contributing to improved job performance in educational settings.
