Abstract
Corrosion contributes a vital damage to machineries in manufacturing industries, hence mitigating it has been the at most interest of Researchers. In this work, corrosion Inhibitive ability of Aloe Vera leaf on low carbon steel in dilute acidic medium was evaluated. Aloe Vera plant was freshly collected from Ado in Ekiti State. The colorless extract was collected at the temperature of 25⁰C. The leaves were air dried pulverized into powdery form. The powdery sample of the plant (Aloe Vera) was stored in an air-tight container until ready for use. The Phytochemical screening and proximate analysis of the powdered leaves were done according to standard procedures. The powdered plant materials (750g) were extracted with methanol (4.25l) by maceration at room temperature for 7days.
