Abstract
Abstract The closing years of the Nineteenth Century and the early years of the Twentieth Century witnessed the establishment of the British colonial rule in Nigeria. In the southern part of Nigeria, great attention has been given to the Benin Kingdom, while little attention has been given to Etsako land, where the Auchi Kingdom is located. This study, therefore, examined British colonial rule and its impact on Auchi kingdom.
