Abstract
Bacillus cereus is a pathogen associated with diarrheal and foodborne illness. This study was undertaken to evaluate the occurrence of Bacillus cereus in millet flour sold at Ihiala Local Government, Anambra State. A total of 120 samples of different flours, including maize, cassava, yam, plantain, millet, and wheat, were collected from retailers within Anambra State. Microbiological analysis was performed using the spread plate technique on Nutrient Agar after boiling the samples for 20 minutes to select for spores. The bacterial isolates were characterized based on cultural, morphological, and biochemical features.
