Abstract
ABSTRACT The aim of the study is to examine the policy implementation and political dynamics: An exploration of the cashless economy transition in Nigeria's political landscape. For the purpose of the study. Three research questions and objectives were adopted to guide the study. Related literatures were review related to the study. The study also review empirical studies, theoretical studies related to the study. The study therefore adopted technology acceptance model as the theory for the study. The research design used is the Qualitative research design which underpinned the methodological foundation of this study. This research aim to measure the quantity or amount and compares it with past records and tries to project for future period. It is also refers to systematic empirical investigation of quantitative properties and Phenomena and their relationship. The instrument used in this study is the observation guide focused on secondary data collected from readily available sources. The analysis of data collected for the research will be done through descriptive and analytical method. The findings shows that concerns over data breaches, identity theft, and cybersecurity vulnerabilities significantly impact public trust in digital payment systems. High levels of trust are crucial for the widespread adoption of cashless transactions, influencing economic behavior and consumer confidence in financial technologies. In conclusion, navigating concerns over data security in the context of cashless transactions requires a multifaceted approach involving regulatory diligence, business leadership, and consumer empowerment. Based on the findings regarding the impact of data security concerns on cashless transactions adoption, here are several strategic recommends that develop and enforce comprehensive data protection laws that prioritize consumer rights, ensure transparency in data handling practices, and establish penalties for non-compliance.
