Abstract
A feeding trial was carried out using broiler chicks to investigate the effect of dietary raw and treated Bambara groundnut (BGN) at graded levels of 0, 10, 20 and 30kg/100kg diet of raw milled BGNS and at 45kg/100kg diet each of BGN processed by soaking in water for 48hrs and subjected to fermentation under anaerobic condition. Result on eerythrocytic assessment of the chicks showed that intake of dietary inclusion of raw BGNS at 10, 20 and 30kg/100kg diet gave reduced PCV in chicks compared with the control diet (D1) while treating the seed by anaerobic fermentation (D6) gave comparable results on the diets with the conventional diet. There was no significant difference in MCV (P>0.05) but differences observed on MCH and MCHC (P0.05) but differences recorded in RC (P
