Abstract
ABSTRACTThe Digital Interactive Display Station has been designed around the inefficiencies associated withtraditional methods of information dissemination in educational institutions. Most notice boardsare static; this makes updating slow and does not offer real-time or engaging communication whichis the reason behind our digital interactive display station to eliminate inefficiencies that areassociated with information dissemination in our department. These limitations create the inabilityto deliver in a timely manner important updates on class schedules, event notifications, or evenemergency announcements, thus making students and staff unaware of such important informationthat would have created an informed school community. The Digital Interactive Display Stationintegrates a Raspberry Pi 4B with a 32-inch television and a wireless keyboard and mouse to getthrough these difficulties. The Pi is the central unit that is equipped with an operating interfaceGUI, showing on it segmented information: news, schedule events, and other importantannouncements. The system programmed into this device will keep updating in real time and keepsthe information of posting current. With the inclusion of a 32-inch television set, which can beeasily mounted in high-traffic areas such as lobbies or hallways, this display makes all informationhighly visible and accessible. The included wireless keyboard and mouse provide administratorswith the ease of use in interacting with the system, thereby managing and customizing displayswhen needed effectively. It does this through the cost-effectiveness and portability of theRaspberry Pi, a versatile device, for timely and effective information transmission. Besides, itprovides an appealing and interesting platform for the dissemination of information. This willensure that the school community is better connected to meet the dynamic needs at the school levelfor an informed and involved school atmosphere for students and staff alike.
