Abstract
This research explores the consequences of early marriage through a feminist perspective, focusing on Mohammed's novel Habiba. The aim is to critically analyze how early marriage impacts women's autonomy, health, and socio-economic status. The objectives include examining the cultural and societal pressures that lead to early marriages, assessing the psychological effects on young brides, and highlighting the intersectionality of gender, class, and age in these contexts. Utilizing feminist theory as a theoretical framework, this study reveals that early marriage often results in diminished educational opportunities and increased vulnerability to domestic violence for women. Findings indicate that characters in Habiba embody the struggles against patriarchal norms that perpetuate early marriage, ultimately concluding that dismantling these societal structures is essential for empowering women and promoting gender equality.
