Design and Implementation of a Web-Based Campus Opinion System for Tertiary Institution:a Case Study of Tai Solarin University of Education

ABSTRACT
This project focuses on the development of a a web-based campus opinion system in
Tai Solarin University of Education. Opinion surveys have long been used in higher
education. Universities have been collecting input from their constituencies, such as
students, professors, and staff, using paper-based opinion polls for decades. These
surveys have been used to get opinions on a variety of topics, such as student services,
campus amenities, and academic regulations.
The literature review explores roles of web-based opinion systems on educational
environments by providing a platform for stakeholders to express their views and
feedback. These systems are instrumental in fostering a participatory culture within
universities, where the voices of all members are heard and considered.
The methodology involves designing and implementing a system architecture that
web-based technologies and services enable administrators to create and manage
polls, and users to vote and view results. The system is designed using modern web
development technologies and is scalable and customizable to meet the needs of
different universities.
The results highlight the system's successful implementation, showing how the web￾based platform is implemented. Screenshots demonstrate the platform's user-friendly
interface, users will be able to use the system anonymously without having to state
their specific full names or matriculation numbers, users will also be able to access
questions conveniently and give their opinions by answering the questions.
As a result, the following recommendations were made; the hardware and software
requirements should be as specified; and administrator(s) should be trained on how
to manage complaints using the complaint management software.
