Assessment of Internal Audit Quality and Revenue Generation Efficiency in Redeemer’s University Ede, Osun State

This study assessed the internal audit quality and revenue generation efficiency in Redeemer’s University Ede, Osun State. The Study specifically sought to examine the extent of internal audit quality system practices at Redeemers University Ede and examine the relationship between internal audit quality and revenue generation of Redeemers University Ede, Osun State. Nigeria.The study survey research design was employed where Primary data was collected using the questionnaire administered to internal audit units, finance and administrative staff of the Bursary unit of the institution. Both stratified simple random techniques were adopted to select a total of thirty-five (35) respondents for questionnaire administration. Descriptive statistics and T-test technique were used to analyses the data obtained with the use of SPSS 15.0 version. The main findings of the study showed that internal audit units of tertiary educational institutions in Redeemers’ University Ede, Osun State are not effective because they have a low reward system, low level of accountability and transparency, and high influence level on the management by the owner. The findings of the study revealed that there is a significant and positive relationship between internal audit quality and revenue generation efficiency, demonstrating the critical role of internal audits in financial performance. The study recommended that university authorities should encourage open communication to promote accountability and transparency and conduct periodic reviews to assess the effectiveness of internal audit and revenue generation processe
