Abstract
ABSTRACTThis project presents the design and construction of a water level control system using an ultrasonic sensor. The system was designed to automatically monitor and control the water level in a storage tank using an ATmega328P micro-controller, HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor, 16×2 LCD, and a DC water pump controlled through a relay interface. The sensor measures the distance to the water surface and sends this information to the micro-controller, which determines whether to turn the pump ON or OFF based on preset thresholds. The LCD provides real-time display of the water level status. The system ensures automatic operation, reduces water wastage, conserves energy, and eliminates the need for manual supervision. Testing and evaluation confirmed that the design achieved high accuracy, quick response, and reliable performance, making it suitable for both domestic and industrial water management applications.
