Abstract

Abstract This comprehensive project encompasses the meticulous repairs of the extensively damaged roof and the systematic application of anti-termite treatment in the hydraulic laboratory, with the primary objective of restoring the facility to its optimal functional state. The roof repairs constitute a multifaceted process, involving the meticulous replacement of damaged roofing materials, the re-sealing of joints and flashings, and the rigorous testing of the roof's watertight integrity, thereby ensuring the prevention of future water ingress and associated damage. Furthermore, a thorough and specialized anti-termite treatment was applied, incorporating the judicious use of environmentally friendly yet efficacious termiticides, to prevent the re-infestation of the laboratory's structural components by these deleterious pests. Upon completion of this project, the hydraulic laboratory was restored to a safe, functional, and productive state, thereby ensuring the uninterrupted continuation of vital research and experimentation activities in it, while also guaranteeing the longevity and integrity of the laboratory's infrastructure. It is therefore recommended that, the school authority should embark on regular maintenance to avoid further damage from the roof.
