Abstract
The research topic Marketing Practices and Consumer Satisfaction in HospitalityIndustry was borne out of the need to determine the benefits of marketing practiceson consumer satisfaction in hospitality industry. To achieve this, the researcheradopted the use of survey design. The population of the study was 100 out of whicha sample of 80 was carved out using Taro Yamane's formula. Data was collectedvia the use of questionnaire and the data gathered was tested using the Chi-squareformula. From the hypothesis tested, it was revealed that there is significantbenefits derived from marketing practices in Congitos Resort and CalabarRestaurant; there is no significant relationship between proper marketing practiceimplementation and consumer satisfaction. The study therefore concluded that thenature of management strategies in service delivery affects consumer loyalty andsatisfaction. Thus it was recommended amongst other things that marketingmanagers and executives should monitor the trends in the market to aid them inidentifying and satisfy the needs and wants of consumers; Relationship marketingstrategies should be adopted by all companies as part of their corporate
