Abstract
This study examines the implications of Boko Haram terrorism in North-Eastern Nigeria from 2015-2023. The primary aim is to analyze the socio-economic, political, and humanitarian consequences of the insurgency. Specific objectives include assessing the impact on internal displacement, economic development, regional stability, and Nigeria's national security. The research methodology relies on secondary sources, including academic books, journal articles, policy briefs, and reports. The findings reveal devastating implications of Boko Haram terrorism in North-Eastern Nigeria. The insurgency has displaced millions, caused widespread destruction of infrastructure, and crippled economic activities, exacerbating poverty and inequality. The region's humanitarian crisis has worsened, with severe food insecurity, health challenges, and psychological trauma. Politically, the insurgency has undermined Nigeria's national security, strained regional relationships, and fueled sectarian tensions. The study highlights the need for sustained counter-insurgency efforts, addressing socio-economic grievances, and strengthening regional cooperation to mitigate the impacts of Boko Haram terrorism and foster lasting peace and stability.
