Abstract

Abstract Professor Emeritus Muhammad Sani Zahradeen, born in 1940 in Kano, Nigeria, is a distinguished scholar of Arabic and Islamic Studies, educator, and religious leader. With degrees from ABU, Khartoum, and McGill University, he advanced Islamic scholarship and modern education in Nigeria. As Vice-Chancellor of Bayero University Kano and later Grand Imam of Kano, he promoted academic excellence, interfaith harmony, and community development. His lifelong commitment to knowledge, leadership, and service earned him national and international recognition, including the title of Emeritus Professor and the national honour of Officer of the Federal Republic (OFR).
