Impact of Business Collaboration on the Performance of Small and Medium Enterprises in Ikere Local Government Area, Ekiti State

This study is designed to investigate the impact of business collaboration on the performance of small and medium enterprises in Ikere Local Government Area, Ekiti State. Three objectives were raised for the study. The study used a descriptive research design to carry out investigation on the study. The sample size of one hundred (100) respondents was sampled for the study using simple random technique 20 staffs were selected from five small and medium enterprises. The instrument for data collection for the study was a self-designed questionnaire. The test-re-test method of reliability was used to ascertain the reliability of the instrument using Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation. Simple frequency and percentage was used to analyse the demographic of respondents while formulated hypotheses were tested using Regression analysis. Based on the finding of the study; The majority of SMEs recognized the value of collaboration, with 68% of respondents strongly agreeing that collaborating with other businesses improved their operations, The study identified several key factors that contribute to successful business collaboration. These include effective communication, trust between partners, and access to shared resources, shared values among collaborating SMEs were found to significantly influence profitability. The study concludes that business collaboration has a positive impact on the performance of SMEs in Ikere Ekiti.
