Influence of Radio Sapientia Fm “my Husband & I Program” on Audience Awareness of Family Planning Behaviour in Aguata Local Government Area

Abstract
This study explores the influence of Radio Sapientia FM’s program "My Husband & I" on audience awareness and behaviour regarding family planning in Aguata Local Government Area. The research investigates the extent to which the program has impacted the knowledge, attitudes, and practices of married couples towards family planning. The work was anchored in Uses and Gratification theory. The survey research method is used in this study, data was gathered through questionnaires from a 200 couples selected from random sampling techniques making it a total of 400 respondents. The findings indicate a significant correlation between the program's content and increased awareness and adoption of family planning practices among the audience. The study concludes that "My Husband & I" serves as an effective medium for promoting family planning education, contributing to informed decision-making among couples in Aguata LGA. Recommendations for enhancing the program's reach and impact are also discussed.
