Abstract
This study aimed to evaluate the challenges of color sequence in printing presses within Kaduna Metropolis, focusing on identifying technical issues, key challenges across presses, potential technological improvements, and operator-related difficulties. A descriptive survey research design was employed, utilizing structured questionnaires to collect data from 70 respondents comprising printing press operators, managers, and technicians. The findings revealed significant technical challenges, including a lack of calibration, inconsistent ink quality, and equipment malfunctions. Key challenges across printing presses included the absence of standard operating procedures, variability in raw materials, and non-standardized equipment. Respondents highlighted new technologies, such as advanced color management software and automated calibration systems, as critical for improving color sequence accuracy, emphasizing the need for regular staff training. Challenges faced by operators included inadequate tools, insufficient management support, and high workload pressures. The study concluded that addressing these challenges requires investment in workforce training, technological adoption, and process standardization to enhance print quality and color sequence consistency. This research contributes valuable insights to the printing industry, providing actionable recommendations for improving operational efficiency and achieving color sequence accuracy in Kaduna's printing sector.
