Community Health Centre for Obafemi Owode Local Government, Owode, Ogun State.

ABSTRACT Community Health Centre is a place that primarily function to provide communities with a comprehensive range of medical services, health care, health education, consultation, treatment, diagnosis, immunization, social services etc. They remove barriers to care by serving community who otherwise confront financial, geographic, and other barriers, making them different from some private physicians. This project proposes a Community Health Centre for Owode, Obafemi Owode Local Govt. Area, Owode, Ogun State. The methodology adopted for this project includes primary and secondary data, consultation of journals, extracts from texts, studying existing similar projects, and acquiring adequate information through internet. The information obtained from the above sources was used to propose the different spaces required for the Health Care Centre The Community Health Centre in other to perform its function effectively is provided administrative offices, Maternity clinic, Emergency, Antenatal, Wards, Delivery Room, Consulting room and a well landscaped environment which takes into consideration the topography of the site and the natural environment Finally, it is recommended that Government to make serious effort in erecting this health Centre according to the specifications and dimensions in this manuscript with good craftsmanship so as to achieve functionality and flexibility these spaces which can be translated into sketches, working drawings and details for easy transfer of drawing to site and assemblage of materials and components.
