Abstract
Access to safe drinking water is a significant public health concern in developing countries, particularly in Nigeria, where sachet water, commonly known as "pure water," is the most widely consumed source of drinking water. Despite regulatory efforts by agencies like NAFDAC, microbial contamination in sachet water brands continues to pose health risks, including waterborne diseases such as cholera, typhoid, and diarrhea. This study focused on the microbial quality of five sachet water brands consumed in Ikere Metropolis, Ekiti State, with particular attention to Kollege Water.
