Abstract

Academic institutions in the digital landscape of today are where effective communication channels are needed. The conventional methods implemented in Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti, such as sending memorandum ad announcements via whatsapp groups never seem to be able to meet the demands for timely and widespread information dissemination. This project focuses on addressing these challenges through designing and implementing an information based system for Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti. This information-based system (an institutional blog) will provide a modern, dynamic solution for delivering real-time updates and content utilizing HTML, Tailwind CSS, JavaScript, PHP and MySql. The goal here is to create an institutional blog that acts as the central point for academic real-time updates such as events and announcements and other important information. By developing a custom Content Management System (CMS) from scratch this project avoids third-party CMS limitations allowing more flexibility and control over its features and design.
