Abstract
This project explores the application of an internet-controlled home automation system that utilizes IoT technology for remote monitoring and control of home environments. The system integrates key sensors such as the MQ2 gas sensor to detect gas leaks and the DHT22 sensor for monitoring temperature and humidity. The MQ2 sensor, with an accuracy of 80%, provided an average gas level reading of 157.9 ppm (within the standard range of 100-300 ppm), effectively detecting changes in gas concentration for safety purposes. The DHT22 sensor, with an accuracy of 98.15%, reliably measured temperature and humidity conditions, ensuring precise environmental monitoring. Through a mobile app interface, users can monitor real-time data from these sensors and remotely control appliances such as fans, lights, and heating systems. Automated alerts are triggered when critical thresholds are exceeded, improving safety and convenience. The system's testing confirmed its ability to manage home appliances effectively while enhancing safety by providing immediate alerts for gas leaks or extreme temperature changes. The system offers significant potential for improving the comfort, safety, and energy efficiency of modern homes.
