Abstract
Reproductive organs are essential not only for the life of an individual but also for the survival and development of the species. The deterioration of male fertility, found in numerous epidemiological studies of past decades, can be connected to growing exposure to environmental toxins. Heavy metals, especially lead is widely spread and extremely toxic. Lead (Pb) is a metal with a widespread diffusion in the environment, it occurs in profusion in contaminated food, water, and air and is one of the major environmental pollutants linked to extremely toxic reproductive agencies. Pb tends to accumulate in the human body and, as a consequence, semen alterations can be present in exposed workers or general population. The mechanism by which lead exerts toxic effects on testis is quite complex. It involves spermatogenesis, steroidogenesis, and red-ox system. This study investigates the reproductive potentials of simply precious immune booster which contains black strap molasses, beetroot, rosemary and ayurvedic herbs which was chosen due to their rich profiles of bioactive compounds such as carotenoids, flavonoids, vitamins, anthocyanins, betalains and terpenoids, all known for their incredible antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Biochemical assays for the assessment of some important biomarkers of oxidative stress including reduced glutathione (GSH), superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), Glutathione peroxidase (GPx), Glutathione S- transferase (GST) and Malondialdehyde were performed according to the established methods. The structural changes in the testicular tissues due to lead and neuroprotective effects due to simply precious immune booster treatment will be examined using histopathological studies. It will also investigate the mechanistic pathways through which this immune booster exert its effects and caused the amelioration of oxidative damage, focusing on its ability to scavenge free radicals, enhance antioxidant enzyme activity, and modulate inflammation. The results are expected to provide information on the effectiveness of the simply precious immune booster regarding its preventive effect on lead-induced testicular toxicities. The present research hopes to fill the existing gaps in the understanding of supplementary interventions as one of the strategies used to remedy heavy metal toxicity by presenting solid evidence to support the potential use of simply precious immune booster in reducing the risk of testicular disorders caused by oxidative stress.
