Abstract
Abstract The Solar-Powered Information Bell Clock System is an innovative, automated time management solution that integrates renewable energy, embedded systems, and IoT technologies to provide accurate timekeeping, scheduled notifications, and remote user interaction. This research focuses on designing a sustainable system that operates efficiently in educational institutions and other organizational environments while minimizing reliance on conventional power sources. The system utilizes solar photovoltaic panels for energy harvesting, coupled with a rechargeable battery storage unit to ensure uninterrupted operation. A microcontroller-based automation mechanism is implemented to manage scheduled bell ringing and real-time adjustments. Additionally, the system incorporates wireless communication capabilities for remote monitoring and scheduling, enhancing user control and adaptability. Key methodologies in this study include CAD-based design modeling, 3D printing for housing components, and embedded firmware development for automation. The hardware and software components were rigorously tested for power efficiency, system reliability, and real-time performance. The results demonstrate that the system achieves high accuracy in timekeeping, optimal energy utilization through solar power management, and seamless automation of bell schedules. Despite these achievements, opportunities for further optimization remain. The inclusion of Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) can improve energy efficiency, while the integration of advanced IoT features can enable cloud-based remote monitoring and adaptive scheduling. The research concludes that the Solar-Powered Information Bell Clock System is a viable, scalable, and energy-efficient solution, contributing to sustainable automation in institutional time management.
