Abstract
This project was carried out to construct and implement an automatic fire system sprinkler. Fire incidents can cause extensive damage to property and can endanger human lives. In response to these hazards, fire protection systems, such as automatic fire sprinkler systems, have been developed and widely implemented in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. This system is designed to detect and control or extinguish fires in their early stages, thereby minimizing damage and providing a safer environment for occupants. Automatic fire sprinkler systems are a critical component of fire safety strategies. Their ability to detect and control fires rapidly can save lives and reduce property damage. There are four basic types of sprinkler systems; these include wet pipe system, dry pipe system, deluge system and pre-action system. The components used in this project design include voltage regulator, light emitting diode (LED), transformer (step down), signal diode sensor (IN4148), vero board etc. An automatic fire sprinkler system operates to detect and control fires in a building. Each sprinkler head contains a heat-sensitive element, such as a glass bulb or a fusible link, designed to activate at a specific temperature. Fire sprinkler work because high heat triggers the sprinkler system. When a blaze ignites the air directly above, it heat rapidly, this hot air rises and spread along the ceiling. When the air is hot enough and reaches a sprinkler head, it triggers a chain reaction. Most sprinkler heads feature a glass bulb filled with a glycerin based liquid. This liquid expands when it comes in contact with air heated to between 135oC and 165oF. When the liquid expands, it shatters its glass content and the sprinkler head activate.
