Influence of Computer Utilization on the Teaching and Learning of Computer Science in Konshisha Local Government Area of Benue State.

Abstract
The main purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of computer utilization on the teaching and learning of computer science in Konshisha local Government area of Benue state. In accomplishing this, two research questions were raised to guide the study. Relevant literatures based on the variables were reviewed to support the study. The study uses a descriptive research design method, specifically the survey research method. The researcher used random sampling technique to determine a sample of one hundred (100) secondary school teachers. One research instrument (questionnaire) developed by the researcher was used to obtain data for the study. The data obtained from the administration of the questionnaire were duly coded and subjected to statistical analysis using arithmetic mean, Standard deviation. The following findings emerge from the data analyzed; Computer technology facilities are available for teaching and learning of computer science, the study revealed that teachers has high level of computer utilization in teaching computer science in konshisha. Finally, to certain extent student utilize computer in the learning of computer science in konshisha LGA. In conclusion, the findings reflect a promising landscape for computer science education in Konshisha LGA, with adequate technology availability and strong teacher engagement. The study therefore concluded that Schools should implement digital literacy programs that allow students more hands-on practice with computers. These programs can build students' confidence and familiarity, which can enhance their independent learning and engagement with computer science. Teachers should be offered additional training on advanced methods of integrating technology into lessons. Workshops and seminars can help teachers explore new strategies for making lessons more interactive and engaging, further improving student outcomes in computer science.
