Abstract
This project focuses on designing and implementing a portable air compressor with a hybrid power source to address the critical need for proper tyre maintenance, enhancing vehicle safety, efficiency, and longevity. The compressor, powered by both conventional and renewable energy sources, includes a 12V battery, digital pressure gauge, and automatic shut-off feature. It was tested on tyres of various sizes (15–18 inches) to evaluate performance. Results show it reliably achieved the target pressure of 35 psi, with inflation times varying by tyre size. The compressor’s low discharge rate, efficiency, and eco-friendly design make it a practical solution for modern drivers.
