Abstract
Abstract This research work investigated “Influence of Family Structures on the Rate of Violent Juvenile Delinquency among Residents of Idemili North Anambra State”. The study adopted mixed method research design and a sample size of 240 was adopted using multi-stage sampling technique. The instrument for data collection is a questionnaire schedule that employed direct delivery technique in the administration and easy collection of data. The data collected through the questionnaire were processed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 26 software. Based on the findings, the research work recommends that; Proper Parental Education will mitigate the impact of family structure on juvenile delinquency. Secondly, Promoting reforms in the juvenile justice system that focuses on rehabilitation rather than punishment will go a long way in reducing the rate of violent juvenile delinquency among residents. Thirdly, implementation of programs that teach social and emotional skills into the curriculum or school system will dowse the rate of violent juvenile delinquency among others.
