Characterization of Bokashi Produced from Rice Husk

Abstract
This study investigated the characterization of Bokashi produced from rice husk to determine its suitability as an organic soil amendment. Bokashi, a product of anaerobic fermentation, was prepared using rice husk as the primary substrate along with other organic additives and effective microorganisms. The analysis focused on nutrient composition, pH, organic carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and microbial activity. Results revealed that the rice husk Bokashi contained substantial amounts of organic matter and essential plant nutrients, indicating its potential to improve soil fertility and crop productivity. The study concludes that Bokashi from rice husk is an eco-friendly alternative to synthetic fertilizers and can serve as an effective component in sustainable soil management.
