Design and Implementation of an Online Food Management System for students

The project focuses on creating an Online Food Credit Management System tailored to university students, addressing the critical issue of food insecurity. This system provides a flexible, credit-based payment framework that enables students to purchase food credits, select meals, and manage their expenditures within an integrated digital meal management environment. The literature review highlights gaps in existing research, such as the lack of attention to students' unique needs and the integration of credit-based payment systems. It also explores the potential of AI in providing personalized meal recommendations to support students' nutritional needs. The system's architecture is designed using a client-server model with key components like a user interface, web server, database, payment gateway, and credit management service. The development process focuses on creating seamless user interaction flows, ensuring secure transactions, and incorporating scalability mechanisms. Usercentered design, secure payment processing, and AI application are key methodologies employed in this project. The implementation has shown promising results, significantly improving students' access to nutritious food, enhancing academic performance, and reducing stress related to food access. The project aims to support student well-being and financial stability by providing a comprehensive solution to ensure all students have access to nutritious and affordable meals.
