Kidnapping in Nigeria: Issues and Solutions

Abstract
ABSTRACT Nigeria has been ranking high among the most dangerous countries to visit for few years now and this is due to the kidnapping, suicide attacks and political unrest in the country eof o now. Kidnapping is major problem that is capable of tarnishing the image four dear country. Whlle some of the victims were freed after paying huge amount of money as ransom, some of them were able to escape after being tortured or raped and others were incarcerated to die of mysterious hunger. This research put forward that, kidnapping is an unlawful aspiration and confinement of a person against his or her will. This study therefore sought to investigate the causes, effects and solutions to kidnapping in Nigeria.
