Abstract
ABSTRACT ThestudyexaminedtheEconomicAnalysisofPoultryFeedsMarketinginKanoMetropolis. The primary data were collected from eighty two (82) poultry feed marketers. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and gross margin analysis. The objectives were to describe the socioeconomic characteristics of poultry feed marketers in the study area, determine the types/brands of poultry feeds marketers, describe the marketing arrangement for supply of poultry feeds, determine the profitability of poultry feed markets business using descriptive statistic and gross margin analysis, describe the major challenges of poultry feeds marketbusinessinthestudyareas.Theresultrevealedpoultryfeedmarketersweremainlymale,have an age range 24-29 (in active stage of their production; 59.76% were married, minimumhousehold size range of 0-5 and the highest range of 16-20). The major problems identified bythis study are; Increase in price (inflation), scarcity of raw material, low stock of consumer favourite brands. The research concluded that poultry feed marketers is profitable due to the positive gross profit/margin. The study also recommends prices should be stabilized, high transportation costs could be reduced when fuel price is favourable so as to improve poultry feed marketers and increase their profitability
