An Intelligent Bookstore Management System With E-Payment Integration (a Case Study of Rhema University Computer Science Student)

ABSTRACT The Intelligent Bookstore Management System with E-Payment Integration was developed to address persistent challenges in manual bookstore operations, including inefficient inventory tracking, delayed order processing, and insecure payment handling. The project aimed to design and implement a comprehensive, intelligent, and user-friendly solution that automated inventory control, optimized book sales processes, and enabled secure online payments. Object Oriented Analysis and Design methodology was utilized in this project. The model was developed using modern web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, the system applied object-oriented programming principles to ensure modularity, scalability, and reusability. Key features included real-time inventory monitoring, automated stock alerts, detailed sales reporting, and encrypted e-payment capabilities. The system incorporated an intuitive user interface to facilitate smooth navigation for both bookstore administrators and customers, and its architecture incorporated role-based access control to strengthen security. The results obtained showed that the system significantly enhanced operational efficiency, minimized manual errors, and improved user satisfaction. Through its robust performance, intelligent automation, and seamless payment integration, the system could provide a reliable digital transformation tool for modern bookstores, ultimately improving service delivery, customer satisfaction, and business profitability. The system is recommended to the Department of Physical Sciences (Computer Science Programme) and other academic institutions.
