Abstract
ABSTRACT This study investigates the presence of heavy metals (cadmium, chromium, copper, zinc, and lead) in biodegradable waste, specifically raw and cooked raw remnants, generated from my lodge (Great Touch Lodge). The analysis aim is to determine the concentration of these metals, in both forms of rice waste and assess potential health risk associated with exposure. Using Atomic Absorption spectroscopy (AAS). The study reveals significant level of heavy metals in both raw and cooked rice waste. The finding highlight the importance of proper waste management practices to migrate environmental and health impacts. The result also underscore the need for awareness and implementation of effective waste reduction and disposal to minimize heavy metals contamination in the environment.
