Abstract
ABSTRACT This project aims to design and evaluate an ergonomic brake pad test rig for assessing brake pad performances. The test rig is designed to simulate real-world braking conditions and measure frictional force (torque) at various speeds and pressures. The rig is constructed using scavenged automotive components and prioritizes functionality, cost-effectiveness, and user ergonomics. The evaluation process assesses the system's operational capabilities, limitations, and overall functionality. The project provides a practical solution for testing brake pad performance, contributing to improved vehicle safety and braking system design. The study provides a practical framework for developing affordable brake pad testing facilities in academic and research environments.
