Impact of Automated Teller Machine on the Banks' Profitability in Nigeria (2005 - 2020)

Abstract
The study examined the impact of Automated Teller Machine on the bank's profitability in Nigeria. The study spared over 16years 2005-2020. The main objective of the study to examine the impact of Automated Teller Machine on the bank's profitability in Nigeria. The study adopted the regression model. Secondary data was extracted from the Central Bank Statistical Bulletin for the period of study. The return on asset stand for profitability which is dependent variable, and the deposit mobilization, automated teller machine stand for automated teller machine which is independent variable. Data were analyzed using OLS regression analysis with the aid of SPSS Statistical package for Social science. The study revealed insignificant relationship between deposit mobilization and banks' profitability, while automated teller machine have significant relationship with banks' profitability.
