Abstract

The study " Roles of public relation in curtailing fake news and misinformation in the division of public relations and protocols in Bamidele Olumilua University of Education Science and Technology Ikere was set out to Identify the PR roles in maintaining the reputation of the Institutions and their strategies in addressing crisis, while an emphasis has been put on the responsibilities of media, open meeting and engagement, private informants and press releases as a strategic mean of combating the spread of misinformation and fake news in the  institution.
