Abstract
This project presents an analysis of the volume of oil in communication with the wellbore using different types of enhanced oil recovery (EOR) methods, specifically gas injection, thermal recovery, and chemical injection. The study aims to compare the effectiveness of these EOR techniques in increasing oil production from reservoirs by analyzing their impact on the volume of oil in communication with the wellbore. Gas injection is a widely used EOR method that involves injecting gases such as carbon dioxide or nitrogen into the reservoir to displace oil and improve sweep efficiency. Thermal recovery, on the other hand, involves heating the reservoir to reduce the viscosity of the oil and improve its flow towards the wellbore. Chemical injection involves injecting chemicals such as surfactants or polymers into the reservoir to alter the properties of the oil and improve its recovery. The analysis will be conducted by reviewing existing literature on the subject and comparing the results of previous studies on the volume of oil in communication with the wellbore using different EOR methods. The study will also consider factors such as reservoir characteristics, operating conditions, and economic feasibility to determine the most effective EOR method for increasing oil production.
